Ultrasound School of North American Rheumatologists is a society of rheumatologists, physicians, and health professionals in North America working to promote the use of rheumatologic ultrasonography to advance the care of patients with rheumatic diseases.

USSONAR aims to:
  • foster the training of physicians and allied health professionals in ultrasonography for the diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of rheumatic disease
  • establish guidelines for image acquisition and interpretation
  • promote research relevant to ultrasonography of rheumatic disease

Training Program

If you’re looking for personalized 1:1 training where you upload your own ultrasound scans and receive direct mentor supervision with personalized feedback, explore USSONAR's 8-month Fundamentals in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Program. This program combines online training along with live in person events. It's only offered once a year and has limited enrollment.

Membership

If you want a self-paced learning curriculum taught by experts in musculoskeletal ultrasound, become a USSONAR member. Educational materials, including all of the modules used in our 8-month Fundamentals in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Program, are accessible to members, plus 3 additional modules. Membership is open to anyone interested in learning musculoskeletal ultrasound, and you’ll have immediate access to all of the educational materials after signing up.
